Ayurvedic Properties
How to Consume?
1. For Sleep & Stress (Moon Milk):
- Mix: 1/2 tsp Ashwagandha powder + 1 pinch Nutmeg (Jaiphal) + 1 cup warm milk.
- When: 30 minutes before bed.
2. For Muscle Building (The Paushtik Yoga):
- Mix: 1 tsp Ashwagandha + 1 tsp Ghee + 1 tsp Honey (Make a paste).
- When: In the morning on an empty stomach.
Note: Never mix Ghee and Honey in equal quantities by weight.
3. For Joint Pain (Arthritis):
- Mix: 1/2 tsp Ashwagandha + 1/2 tsp Dry Ginger (Sunthi) powder + Warm Water.
- Why: Ginger burns the toxins (Ama), and Ashwagandha strengthens the joints.
Side Effects & Cautions
Ashwagandha is potent and not suitable for everyone.
- High Pitta Body Type: Since Ashwagandha is Ushna (Hot) in potency, people with excess body heat, acidity, or ulcers should avoid it or take it with cooling agents like milk/ghee.
- Pregnancy: Strictly avoid during pregnancy as it can stimulate the uterus.
- Auto-immune Diseases: People with Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis should consult a doctor first as it boosts immunity, which might flare up symptoms.

Can I take Ashwagandha in summer?▼
Yes, but in smaller quantities (approx 2-3 grams). Always take it with milk or ghee to balance its heating nature.
How long does it take to see results?▼
As it is a root herb, it works slowly. Consistent usage for 45 to 90 days (one Mandala) is recommended for visible benefits.
Is Ashwagandha safe for teenagers?▼
Yes, it helps in growth and memory, but the dosage should be half that of an adult (approx 250mg to 500mg).
